Hudson Heritage

Hudson Heritage LLC was formed in 1998 to acquire Hudson River Psychiatric Center from Empire State Development Corporation. The Managing Members of Hudson Heritage are Richard Chazen, Arnold S. Moss, and Alexander Reese.

Arnold S. Moss

Arnold S. Moss is the President of Hudson Valley Housing Associates, which has just completed a large historic adaptive reuse project in the east end of Newburgh. Prior to this development, Mr. Moss worked for over 20 years in real estate finance and consulting.

Richard H. Chazen

Richard H. Chazen is President of Chazen Engineering and Land Surveying Co. P.C., one of the region's major civil, land-use and environmental engineering firms. For over a generation, Mr. Chazen has assisted in major private and municipal development projects, particularly in the Town of Poughkeepsie.

Alexander S. Reese

Alexander S. Reese is an investment banker and private investor. Since the early 1980's Mr. Reese has been involved in corporate finance and venture capital as a banker and investor. He is also active in environmental issues and major philanthropic institutions in the region.

The Community Preservation Corporation, and CPC Resources, Inc.

The Community Preservation Corporation ("CPC") is one of the nation's foremost housing lenders. Created in 1974, CPC has provided financing to preserve and create nearly 100,000 units of housing in New York City and State and New Jersey representing more than $4 billion of public and private investment.

CPC Resources, Inc. (CPCR) is a for-profit subsidiary of CPC created in 1992 to undertake development projects in New York and New Jersey. CPCR has proven its ability to undertake complex development and revitalization projects. Its mission includes direct intervention in saving vital communities, catalyzing development in up-and-coming neighborhoods, and preservation of historic or natural assets. CPCR has undertaken new construction, renovation, and adaptive re-use projects.

Michael D. Lappin

Michael D. Lappin has served as President and Chief Executive Oficer off the Community Preservation Corporation, (CPC), since 1980. Mr. Lappin is also President and Chief Executive Officer of CPC Resources, Inc. Under Mr. Lappin's leadership, CPC has provided over $4 billion in loans resulting in redevelopment or construction of well over 100,000 homes, and significant commercial development.

Kathleen A. Dunn

Kathleen A. Dunn is Executive Vice President for Development, in charge of CPC Resources, Inc., (CPCR). CPCR has undertaken dozens of development and redevelopment projects in New York State under Ms. Dunn's direction since 1994. Ms. Dunn managed redevelopment of over 12,000 residential units at Parkchester, in the Bronx. The project also encompassed revitalization and re-tenanting of 500,000 square feet of retail space. Ms. Dunn was formerly Deputy Commissioner for Development with City of New York's housing development agency, where she was responsible for the planning and implementation of the City's $5.2 billion housing plan spanning ten years.

Tom McGrath

Tom McGrath is Senior Vice President of CPC Resources, Inc. Mr. McGrath joined CPC in 1990, founding and directing its Hudson Valley office, as well as offices in Westchester County, Albany, Syracuse, and Buffalo. He has substantial experience with both the financing and development of mixed-use projects, with a long roster of completed projects encompassing commercial uses as well as thousands of residential units.
